Help identifying head

Post by Vetteguy22 »

Hi guys,
I have a cylinder head that came with other stuff I bought.
The only identifying makes I see are
On the spark plug side: Nissan Japan 210 M
On the back of the head: 3-24 #28
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Rob

Here's some pics of the head.
Hopefully someone can help me identify it.

Hi Rob, FYI, just spoke to Doc who viewed all your photos and asked me to pass on his thoughts. He said it's obviously an early L-series head, based on the casting number (210), which he recognized. It was used on a 510 (the 210 is just a casting number, not the Datsun model that used it). It's not a desirable/performance head (small valves). He wouldn't use it on anything. Jokingly, he said the only part worth saving is the thermostat housing.
