Machine Shop Recommendation?

Post by SCARZME »

Looking for a local machine shop that can fabricate some aluminum spacers to go between rotors and hat to center rotors in calipers. I'm combining 280ZX struts and 300ZX hubs so I can upgrade 510 brakes and not have to buy new wheels/tires. Nothing complicated, just round disk with a center hole and 4 holes for mounting bolts.
Any suggestions?

How thick does it need to be?

When I did the Toyota brake upgrade those rotors needed spacers, which can be seen in this photo.

The spacers need to be 0.97" thick. Pretty close to the spacers John Williams made for my 240 to use the Toyota V6 4x4 calipers if I remember correctly.

OK, those from Silvermine were only 5mm thick.

Bob, do you just need to have some existing spacers cut down to the proper thickness? I had that done on my Roadster by Automotive Machine of Scottsdale. I guess that wouldn't truly be fabrication but modification. They can definitely do that. 480-945-0934.
