Scrap Metal

Anyone have a recommendation where to buy scrap metal? I need t o fab a stand for my metal stretcher and shrinker to mount in my bench vice.

There is a great place down here in south Phoenix where Duffman and I have both bought metal in the past. The name escapes me at the moment but maybe Stephen will weigh in or we can figure it out when we see you tomorrow. I believe it is within a mile or so of McFadden Dale Hardware (another great place to find the un-findable). Then you could even pick it up while you are down here.

Not scrap, but Industrial metal supply at 5150 S 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85040 is probably where Randy is referring to. They do have a discount rack out back for cut sections.

Thanks guys,yes that's the one. They do have a lot of small odds and ends at very reasonable prices (probably scrap to them, not us).

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll add it to my contacts! I'm making a list of stuff I need to fab along with the mount I mentioned. Eastwood sells a mount but shipping is as much as the mount so I know I can make one a lot cheaper.
