Time for me to move on...

I have decided that it is time for me to give up the Desert Datsuns site. I have paid the hosting up to May of 2025, and will allow the site to close at that time.

I have enjoyed hosting the forum, but it sees less and less traffic over the last couple year. I guess it is time to let it end. This site has no relation to the Facebook group, so there will still be an online meeting point for group members.

Guy, you have done a wonderful job "running" this site. So much appreciate all your time and investment in keeping this going. Like you, I'm a bit disappointed that the Forum itself became a ghost town. It's nice to have the Facebook page but I miss the longer format. Thank you again for all you've done over the years. Hope that work on your 510 is still progressing. All the best!!! I'm still taking good care of your 350Z

Guy, first of all a huge thank you for all the time and effort you put into this site. We all appreciate you.
With that said, I understand. Seems like the times have changed for many forums like this one. I'm on several and many have seen declines like this.

Thanks for standing up and offering to take over. I was going to ask what is the cost to continue and if funds are needed.
I have always felt that forums have value , especially concerning the “history “ factor.

Dale, with you and I as the sole moderators (without Guy) we need to put our heads together to decide if we want this to continue forward. The cost is actually minimal and I tend to agree with Gregg on the value of maintaining the archive. Pretty sure we could solicit donations more actively to keep this site up. Thoughts?

Shouldn't be any cost. I have plenty of server space, as well as a perpetual phpBB license and a great web guy.

I've spoken with Guy (briefly). I'd just need the keys and PWs and I can transition it to a permanent home.

Love to keep Randy and Dale as Mods, if they'd be willing.
