Very nice! When do you turn the key and get it running?

Screwed my back up the other day, but depending on recovery, I expect to have it up and running in the next two weeks.

Finished painting the radiator and shroud today, and picked up a Haynes manual off eBay. Also pulled the starter and began cleaning it up. Picked up a pair of these parking lamps off eBay from Thailand. The lenses on mine were both broken. Thought I was just buying lenses, but when they arrived they were complete units with bulbs, for $35.

With the slightly cooler weather today, I spent 6 hours in the garage working on the truck, focusing on more cleaning, some painting, and dropping the front 3" by adjusting the torsion bars. I now have the driver's side of the engine block completely painted Datsun blue, as well as about 2/3 of the passenger side. Lots and lots of masking in the engine bay. Also sprayed the battery tray with POR 15 to neutralize surface rust and coat the one area on the truck with any rust through. Later in the day I installed all new manifold studs, and test fit the gasket and header.

Thanks Dale. It's always a slow process, but I keep reminding myself that "progress" is the goal. Anything I get done today, I can put in the rearview mirror. I find it rewarding to be able to visually see even small changes.

Finished the engine painting and began engine re-assembly. Had to make a tool to tighten two of the nuts on the manifolds. There was not enough clearance for anything in my tool box.

Installed the fan provided by Hitman (thanks again Greg) on the fan clutch, finished plumbing the fuel system today, and removed panels/pieces on the truck requiring the most straightening (passenger fender, bumper and front valence). Looks like I'll be getting lots of practice with a hammer and dolley.
