Club T-Shirts

Wondering if there would be any interest in new Desert Datsuns T-shirts. One member asked me recently if we could do a shirt using the flag in our banner and the club name, "Arizona Desert Datsuns." The Desert Z Association is currently going through the same exercise, so I thought I'd ask. I would guess the shirts to be in the $15-20 range. I won't volunteer Lisa to do the design at this point, but if there is sufficient interest I'll try to twist her arm.

Lisa and I were working on the T-shirt design tonight, which you can see below. We won't be doing black shirts, given Carl's comments, and how hot they would be here in AZ a good part of the year. Black was all we had to work with for design purposes. We opted not to call out specific Z models on the front (240, 260 or 280), but simply feature the S-30 silhouette to appeal to the majority of our members. On the back, you'll note the word "ARIZONA" has been moved up, to be reversed out of the blue bar on the flag. We will likely make this change to our website and Facebook page as well. Still looking at different screen printers to make the shirts. More info to come, but please react to the design so far.

Thoughts:

As a Z owner I really like the design.

Owing to Datsun/Nissan's heritage, I always like to see the word 'Legendary' in literature or advertising. Is it possible to fit that in on the front, maybe on an angle? Maybe even in Script, like the 'Datsun' on the hatch of early Z's.

If we do white shirts, would Lisa reverse the lettering to black? If not, I think Red or Blue shirts would be sharp with the white lettering.

Would it be advantageous to have .NET added to the back, to refer to our forum or Facebook page? Or the Facebook logo?

If it's a Club shirt it should probably just be about "Datsun" - not a specific model - don't you think?
I mean, equity and inclusion, right? The graphic on the back is awesome!

Is it possible to do the different fonts they used on the different models for the "Datsun" emblems on the front?

Datsun (Roadster font)
Datsun (S30 font)
Datsun (did they use any other fonts for the 510, 1200, or trucks? I only know the two I've listed... )

I'd also vote for a light gray or white T.

Oh, I like Rob's suggestion about adding ".net" - maybe the Facebook icon?
