That's good information Randy, Thanks. It seems like many weekly car meets are having a hard time to find a place that will allow them. Scottsdale cars and coffee is another example. I hope they get the Pavilions back up. Not sure I care for the "registered only" part of it, for me it was often a day before or maybe a last minute decision to go. But I understand they have to do what they have to do, to get it going again.

Just received a call from Larry, who is the guy that's been working to get the Pavilions car show open again. The first event is scheduled for Saturday, May 15th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Only 75 cars, which have been pre-registered, will be permitted into the show. All 75 spots are already spoken for. I gave up my spot due to our scheduled breakfast run to Rock Springs. I do plan to head to the show after breakfast to check it out. At this point the tribe and property management will requiring masks and 6 ft. distancing. According to Larry if it can be demonstrated that people can follow the rules, they will be relaxed, including increasing the number of cars. This will be kind of a trial run for the first few weeks. Hopefully people won't screw it up.

For those who stopped by after breakfast, how was the Pavilions reboot?

Duffman and I got there about 10:45 I'd guess, and most of the cars had left by then. The organizer said about 70 showed up. They will do it again next weekend and if that goes well they will be opening it up again, albeit in the morning on Saturday. I suggested maybe starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 10:00, ala cars and coffee, given the coming summer heat. He seemed amenable to that. We'll see where this goes.

Got invited back to the Pavilions last Saturday. Pretty full lot this time with roughly 75 cars. The masking requirements were relaxed and it sounded like next weekend the show may get expanded, though I believe it may still be open to pre-registered cars only. Time is from 8:00-12:00, but most showed up by 7:00 and were gone by 10:30.

Maybe they will open it up to all again? We'll see how it goes.

Attended the show on Saturday, which is now totally open every Saturday, without registering. The show is nominally from 8:00 AM - Noon, but people begin showing up by 7:30. Kind of a sparse showing due to the temperature, but nice all the same. They had a DJ playing music and there were free donuts. The organizer told me in October they plan to go back to the evening format. Anyone interested in joining me there next Saturday, July 3rd?

My usual Summer MO for the PAVs was to arrive after sunset. Then they started to chase everyone off at 8:00 so that killed it for me. I'm just not into baking in the sun. Evenings in October sound good.

I can give you a firm "maybe" on the 3rd as we have some other things going that day. :D

We'll return to Strawberry for the summer, barring another fire. The show was enjoyable and it wasn't all that hot (to me). Everybody bring shade and water. You can DO this!

Randy, Nice pic on the home page, but I have to say I like your new wheels on the Roadster. Are you going to follow through and have them polished by Fernando?

Robin, spending the morning with you at the show last Saturday was enjoyable. Jealous you'll be headed to cooler climes soon. Yes, will likely get the wheels polished, but probably not for a while due to the cost of dismounting and re-mounting the tires. I'll likely be the only one at this Saturday's show. Weather forecast looks downright cool
