It really wasn't supposed to take this long.... lol
My project car is a 1972 2 door sedan. Over the last couple years I have done mostly rust removal and repairs. I will recover a few posts to show where I am at in this saga....
Here Is my project as it arrived in my garage.... I hope that I can breathe some life back in to it.

Rebuilt my turn indicator switch. Got an NOS switch for a Japanese Bluebird (from the non-collapsing column type, which is smaller in diameter than the U.S, version), removed the signal arm and all the switches, attached them to the body of my old nasty one (after cleaning and lube), and I now have a like new turn indicator arm with all new switches. Total investment was about $70 after shipping costs, and I'm really happy with the results.

Scored a nice SSS steering wheel from Tokyo-2U. Its from a 74 610SSS and I think will go well with my plans for a retro build. I also re-keyed my ignition switch to match my other locks.

I found that the battery tray interferes with the throttle and intake manifold on the SR engine, so removed the battery tray. I also removed the front valence, and have nearly finished stripping the engine bay. A bit more elbow work there and I will have nice clean metal to work with so I can weld up some unwanted holes.

Replaced the entire floor pan with one from a 4-door donor car. Stripped it to bare metal, then coated with master series sealer. Came out nice.

Scored a booster from a guy on The 510 Realm...... May have to get the booster rebuilt, but was happy to get my hands on one. Tough to find, originally from a B-210 .

My front valence was pretty messed up, so I got one from Futofab to replace it. His panels are very nice, and made with slightly heavier metal than the originals. I'm really pleased with it.
My new engine
I was originally planning a KA24de for power, but later changed my mind. I picked up an SR20det engine and 5 speed transmission, and have been making my modifications to accommodate it. I have the transmission tunnel cut, and am working on the reversed cross member and rack & pinion steering.
