Hi. I’m an Alaskan snowbird here in AJO, AZ with a 1980 510 Wagon that we drive out Into the desert BLM trails. We have had good success with this old 3rd world beast on some rough roads, but an extra 2-3” clearance would help.
Can anyone advise how we could lift her up without spending a whole lot?
Thanks
The 510 wagon has rear leaf springs and can easily be raised with some lifting/lowering blocks when can be purchased inexpensively online. You can also fabricate a set for free with minimal skills. Raising the front will require changing the perch position for the front springs of perhaps substituting different struts/springs. I'm not familiar with second generation 510s to know if there's an off the shelf kit to do this.
