Went to the auction today and noticed 7 Datsuns/Nissans. There were two 320 pickups (one a 1964 NL) and a 1968 2000 Roadster, all of which had yet to go through the auction. There were also 3 Z31s that all sold for nearly the same amount (right around $12,000), and also a 2005 350Z convertible with between 3,500 original miles that sold for $38,000. Was very surprised not to see any S30 Z cars.

I checked the docket before I went on Sunday and was surprised that there we no no S30s up. I saw 2 of the 320s and 2 of the Z31s (which are growing on me …). And oh yeah, a nice low mileage R33 Skyline.

That 311 is a poor excuse for a restoration - quickie respray and ill-fitting bits, NONE of the hard work has been done.
Planned to bid on the sole MT Z31 but it went for more than twice its value (typical for B-J and clueless buyers). The white Z31 was awful (buy here, pay here lot material) and the blue one was automatic but clean.
The Z33 sale price was a bit shocking, but there's a sucker born every minute.
The two pickups are well-restored and proper, from the same seller's collection.
Hope we see some early Datsuns populating the field next year, once the 'boomer cars' bottom out on price (they're trending down, and some of those cars could be bought for about half of the build price).
