Wheel fitment tool

I've been keeping an eye out for one of those tools that seems to only exist in fabricator / hot rod shops....
It's a wheel fitment simulator that allows you to determine ideal width, diameter, offset, pad, and even tire size.
It's an expensive tool, but seems WAY easier than test-fitting a lot of different wheel/tire combos.
Since this current project is probably going to require wheels in the 17x9 / 17x12 range, with some pretty radical offset, I've been thinking of borrowing / renting / buying one of these. However, much like my fender roller, it'll see one or two uses, and then it'll gather dust.
Anyone have an idea of who might have one I could rent, OR, would it be worth buying a good one and renting it out to defray some of the cost?
