Bob, looks like you definitely have found the most cost effective way to achieve the results you were looking for. Can't wait to hear how she runs at WOT! What are you going to do when you max out performance on this set up? :lol: :lol: :lol:

I forgot to take pictures earlier this week of the process, but swapped out the stock front coils on Lisa's Roadster for a set of Mike Young's performance springs I bought about six months ago. My actual goal was to lower the front a little to even up the stance. To my eye, Roadsters sit high in the front as a general rule. With the new slots mags, and different tires, the situation was exaggerated. When I first took a look at the suspension and considered how best to pull the old springs out I saw several possibilities. I ended up only having to disconnect the lower shock mount and take out four bolts from the lower A arm (where it pivots) with a jack under the arm so I could ease tension off the coil gradually. It was actually pretty easy, normally a 2 hour job. Being overly anal, it took me 5 hours, as I just had to clean every nut and bolt in the process and remove all traces of overspray I found in the area. I'm getting too old to find any pleasure in rolling around my concrete garage floor for 5 hours :lol: . Side by side the new springs were just about 2" shorter than the old ones. Under compression, they lowered the car just about 3/4," but improved the ride considerably. I was told by Mike Young I would also have to grind the bump stops down about half their height, but when I got everything apart I discovered happily the NOS bump stops I installed when I built the car were actually the correct ones for the shorter springs. All in all I'm happy with the results.

On a separate note, Paul Taylor stopped by yesterday to tweak the adjustable voltage regulator for my fuel and temperature gauges so they read more accurately. The temperature now reads about 175 degrees, which is right on with what my infrared shows at the thermostat housing when the engine's completely warmed up. Still checking to see how accurate the fuel gauge is now.

I think my car came with about 13 black widows settled in. This one is just an orb weaver and I think it may have already starved.

I’m feeling much more confident with EFI tuning these days. It’s been a very long learning curve but worth the effort!
