My first Hybrid. Just couldn't resist all the cool technology!

Looks good Randy. I had a blue one. Really liked it, fun to drive.

How long did you keep it? What kind of repair history did you have. I just replaced the upstream 02 sensor but all good now.

Its been about 15 years ago. I bought it with 48k miles on it and sold it a couple years later with only 60k miles. No problems with it.
I have a friend that has one now, but he removed the battery pack and just runs it on the engine. Its just a commuter for him.
Greg (Hitman) has quite a bit of experience with them as well. I believe he as had 2 or 3 of them.

Been doing quite a bit of tidying up on the Insight and learning lots from the great online community for these cars. Put a new O2 sensor and some bulbs, that were out, on the car last week, new plugs today and in the process of cleaning the EGR plate, which will supposedly up performance and mileage. Really developing an affinity for these cool little cars.

I'd own another one, if it weren't for the challenges getting new IMA battery packs.
When I had our four, Hybrid ReVolt was based in Surprise, so it was convenient.
Allegedly, people are upgrading to the Prius packs now.

Finished some fairly significant upgrades today and just returned from a 50 mile freeway loop. Performance and MPG were much improved. Now considering some sound proofing and I need to replace at least one engine mount to eliminate the clunking from a standing start. Actually pretty fun to drive and gets a lot of looks from people who don't have a clue what it is. I'll post some more photos tomorrow.

Would be interesting to compare your Insight with my 08 Civic Hybrid.
I agree with Greg (Hitman) that the batteries are stupidly expensive! I had mine replaced under warranty (thank heavens!), but understand they run well over $5,000 to replace! Interesting to hear Greg say that people are opting for the Prius battery as an alternative.
