I've been thinking about doing to build page for a while.
I bought this from Brian in 2013. I've been working on it off and on since.

The work done so far -

Front toyota brake upgrade
R200 swap
New fuel and brake hard lines
Rear brake refresh
New brake booster and master cylinder
Engine bay painted original color (113)
Front crossmember refresh - new bushings, ball joints, bearings, and powder coat
5 speed installed.
Gas tank pulled and cleaned
Radiator pulled and cleaned
Vintage Dash needs to be installed
Butterscotch interior needs to be installed

I hope to have it on the road this year. The body is almost ready for paint. The plan is to install an L28 and get it on the road, then paint it original 113 with butterscotch interior.

Pics are from day Brian delivered it to the house, more pics to follow...

We'll all enjoy watching your progress Patrick. Thanks for posting up. Personally, following a build thread is one of my favorite things about visiting this site. Hoping we see more of these.

Hard to believe it's been almost two years since I started this build page. Lots of sanding, fill and prep before laying down base coat.
Thanks to Chuck and Greg for walking me through the process. I couldn't have done it without your guidance and support (and patience).
Definitely a learning experience, there were some mishaps and redo's along the way, but it turned out very nice.
Now I get to put it all back together...

I had the original bumpers straightened and replated at Metro plating in Mesa. I bought most of the interior pieces from various places over the years. There is a new dash ready to be installed and new door cards with new vinyl waiting to be installed after the door is put back together. One of the things I'm discovering is the bits that I'm needing and missing, like tail light and head light rubber, I thought they were included with the precision kit I bought years ago. I also don't have a license plate light - it wasn't on the shell when I bought it... I'm sure there are many other things that I'll be nickel and dimed throughout the process...

Patrick, thanks for posting your progress. Anxious to see that Z back on the road. Call me, I think I may have an extra license plate light.
