I have a Vintage Air Mini 2 unit but I'm using a rebuilt OEM 2JZ A/C Compressor. Only has A/C with recirculate and heat for the mini 2. The Evap is pretty much 2 bendable metal strips in the back hanging on the fire wall and one L type bracket to hold it in place on the front side. The units are not heavy. I ran the fan at high speed with no vibration noises. It sits right up against the firewall on the tunnel. My setup for the EVAP is similar in the posted link below (good pics) which only has 2 brackets. The mini 2 has about 5 anchor points that can be used to bolt up for that universal fit.

RacerX (Bryan) just had his factory L28 compressor rebuilt with upgraded stock EVAP with a Honda fan (I think). His AC blows real cold.

to follow up with Jame's post above, on my RB25 I'm running a 2000 Maxima compressor which bolts right up to the RB.
on Ashely's Z I'm running a Saden Style on the L28.

Here's one guys conversion: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/top ... 0zx-mount/
this might be tweaked for an L28:

AC is blowing cold all thanks to Bryan! Lines are tucked into the air vent tube for room to the cab. Using Perma-Cool radiator switch to control the fan with a 4 wire vintage air pressure switch (2 wire was only needed but that is what I had).

Just ordered the vintage air gen 2 mini today. Thanks for posting all the details. It says it’s heat, A/C, and defrost. I obviously have a lot more parts to order but this will give me something fun to do this winter.

James, wrap that expansion valve with that tar-like stuff to keep condensation from forming on it and causing a drip.

Great idea Carl. I will

Yep,
I’m working on the heat part closer to winter as I need to order a line block valve for it. Not sure if I can use the defrost part as my cage blocks part of that up

Got the speed hut gauges working. Only one I question is the fuel complicity as there wasn't any calibration options.

looks good! Is it just perspective or does the left gauge need to be rotated just a bit?

It needs it. I didn't notice it until I had the Dash back in and started wiring it up. I can't get my hand back in there to move it so I'll fix it after I take out the Dash to get the defrost vent panel in since that will not go in due to the roll cage in the way. The right side needs a slight turn too. lol. At least the water temp one is lined up!

I'm setup to do some autoX this weekend. Hopefully everything works out as this will be my first time in 15 years.
