Are they not the same as the locks they used in Z's? (I don't remember...)

The doors, trunk, and gas door lock mechanisms were similar on all years 68 - 73. The ignition was a different set up on the 68/69 though (dash mounted on the earlier ones vs. column mount on the 70-73 models). A bit of trivia, note that there were 4 different types of key blanks used on the 510s, and quite often the ignition switch was keyed differently that the other locks.

If you don't mind the price, new-datsun-parts carries a complete set for the 68/69 models. You could re-sale the ignition lock and use the doors, trunk, and gas locks. They are very pricey though at $499.

If you follow Tokyo-2u on the Australian ebay site, he parts out vintage JDM stuff and sometimes has a lock set available. He currently has a set (no ignition switch) for $149 AUD which is about $100 dollars U.S. Its actually a pretty good deal because the trunk and gas door are nearly impossible to find, and nobody does an after market replacement for them.

BTW, the door locks are the same as an early 240Z/260Z, but the trunk and gas door mechanisms are different.

If you happen to end up with a key set similar to the one Tokyo-2U is currently selling, I have a couple of NOS key blanks(embossed lion) that you are welcome to have.

That would be great. I did purchase the set from Tokyo-2U. I’m just waiting for them to show up.

Rob,
I put those key blanks in the glove box in my Z. I will get them to you at the Bagdad run.
