Z help from Portugal

Hi all,

I have a 1970 Datsun 240Z which runs so sweetly I’m desperately trying to find it’s history.

All I know is that I bought the car in Holland in 2017 from Joop Stolze classic cars.

Joop had just imported it from San Diego.

The San Diego owner advises he bought from a pregnant lady from Los Angeles who had it stored for 10 years (2006-16?).

She bought it from her Uncle in Arizona.

All very tenuous I know (!) but was wondering whether it may trigger a memory with anyone on here ?

The US registration plate was “2DLR448” and the VIN is HLS3002377

Colour is Safari Gold as per photo. It may have had a vinyl roof (since removed) and original factory wheels.

Any help from anyone much appreciated!

Thanks
Carl Bagshaw

I don't know if the Arizona Department of Transportation can pull up a title history for you VIN, but here is their contact info:
