SUN Distributor Machine

Picked this machine up today after looking at another one in Yuma. The motor and lights work on on this one but it does need a few repairs. I was lucky enough to find a users manual online. My guess is this is from the late 50's or early 60's. Thought it might be fun to learn to test and curve distributors. Let's hope I get it working or it will just become garage art . Anyone have any direct experience with these?

Discovered while cleaning machine up today that there was a date inside of 8/9/1963 (nearly 60 years old). Also found a guy online in MI who restores these, and called him. He sells parts and is willing to help me assess the potential of this working for my needs. Fun little project and really neat vintage looking graphics.

Interesting project! After you re-unite all the engineers who developed the machine you can write a book about it.
