GREAT NEWS!!!
GREAT NEWS!!!
I've been working for a few months to secure a permanent, dedicated spot at the Pavilions car show for Japanese classics. Yesterday I was able to gain that commitment from the organizers. We'll have a row reserved for all Japanese classics (Datsun, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Honda, etc.) 1987 and prior. This will be the 4th Saturday of each month, beginning May 28th. We'll have a full row, which will accommodate about 25 cars. The location is the row furthest west in McDonalds parking lot (row backing to the road that turns into the display area). This will be reserved beginning from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. The only way we'll be able to keep our spot is to support the show with a good number of cars and trucks each month, so please pass the word.

Re: GREAT NEWS!!!
That is good news, Randy! Sounds like it is the same row we used to have in years past, unless it is the one closer to Indian Bend. Good work!

Re: GREAT NEWS!!!
Thanks Stephen. The row IS actually the one closer to Indian Bend, so we'll no longer feel like outcasts.

Re: GREAT NEWS!!!
Just a reminder that our first vintage Japanese car day at the Pavilions is one week from tomorrow. Please come out so we can continue to keep our spot. Show is from 2:00-8:00 and are is the southwest corner of the McDonalds parking lot. I have been advised that if some cars are newer than 1987, that is OK with them.

Re: GREAT NEWS!!!
Here is the announcement I am circulating.
Next Saturday, May 28th will be our inaugural vintage Japanese car show at the Pavilions Shopping Center at Indian Bend Road and the 101 Freeway. Going forward, we'll have a designated spot at the show on the 4th Saturday of each month, as long as people support it by bringing their vehicles out. This will be a warm venue during the Summer months, but we're hoping for a good turnout to demonstrate to the organizers we're serious about a long-term commitment. All vintage Japanese brands are welcome. The show runs from 2:00 – 8:00 PM, and there will be designated parking spots in a row at the Southwestern corner of the McDonald's parking lot. Normally this corner of the lot is for vehicles 1987 and older, but I've been assured newer, special interest Japanese vehicles will be able to park with us as well. Please come out and make this first event a smashing success... even if you can only stay for an hour or two. Thanks!
