RAMAIR Filter Socks

Post by Randalla »

The foam in my ITG air filters were beginning to degrade significantly so I was looking for some different air filters. I was just running the aluminum air horns by themselves the last month, but was concerned about our dusty AZ environment, so wanted to find something fairly quickly. I ordered these RAMAIR filter socks from the UK and installed them today. I had to shorten them about 3". They're secured with black zip ties. I haven't oiled them yet and will probably just run them dry for a while.

I like ‘em. It would be cool to find something better than a zip tie …

I like them too. :)

I'm still planning on trying to use my oem air filter housing. Need to replace the large rubber cover gasket for the lid and the one that goes behind the filter. And get a new air filter. This reminds me I need to get back on that project and see where to source those. LOL

I would not run them dry. The oil is what traps the dust.

Yeah, your right Carl. I have the K&N spray, so I will do that the next time I have the car home.
