DZA Poker Run- February 26th

Post by Randalla »

The DZA has invited us to attend their Poker Run next Saturday, February 26th. A number of us, who were at the Z Cafe breakfast, are planning to join them. If you don't know what a poker run is and are interested, call me at (602) 312-4038 and I'll fill you in. The starting point will be Bass Pro Shops at 1133 N. Dobson Rd. in Mesa. We'll leave there promptly at 9:30. Total distance is 51 miles, and will end at The Painted Mountain Golf Resort where we will have lunch. Cost to play poker is $10. This is admittedly late notice, but If you're coming you need to let me know by the first of next week, as DZA has to make reservations for lunch. Hope some more of you will be able to make it. This will be my first poker run and I've always been curious how they worked.

Randy,
Usually the runs are quite fun and sometimes very scenic. In the past DZA had some that ended in Payson.

Had a nice Z-car showing for the Poker Run on Saturday. Peter, Gregg and I from Desert Datsuns made the event, along with 8 Zs from the Desert Z Association. A very well organized event (thanks to Sandy, Steve and George), a nice lunch at the golf club restaurant, and I even took home some extra cash with a winning hand of three 7's.
