Opening a link inside a topic

Hey Guy,
When posting a link to another web site inside a post, is there a way to make the link open a new tab in the browser?
Currently it goes to the new link and leaves DD website. Makes it more difficult getting back. Just wondering.
I guess I could just "right click" the link and say "open in a new tab" as well.
Thanks,
Dale

Should be a setting in the board software.

I added an extension to allow users to choose whether they want external links to open in a new tab, or in the current tab.

This option was previously available as part of the standard install on phpbb, but there was a change to the HTML standards, and that option was removed in versions of phpbb after 3.0.

Anyways, you can now go to your user control panel and make that choice under user preferences.
