Windshield Replacement

Finally having my badly nicked up windshield replaced and need to find a glass company that knows the proper way to replace it on a Z, inserting the chrome moldings in the rubber seal prior to putting the glass in. I have scar tissue from having someone who claimed to know what they were doing but didn't. They tore the rubber seal in the process of trying to install the chrome strips on my hatch after the glass was installed. Does anyone have a recommendation who has experience and will take responsibility if they screw up? Going to have a new hatch seal installed at the same time. Thanks

Good timing on the question in prep for sanding/paint this winter I just took my hatch glass out and front window trim in prep to remove my windshield this weekend. Mine has a few small cracks that could be filled but depending on finances might just purchase a new one. My rear hatch weatherstripping was so hard I had to basically chisel it out I couldn’t even get a razor blade in it because it was so hard. I hope the front window is a little softer

Do you have the glass already Randy?
You could try Dan - the guy that Pepper uses (used to work for). IDK if he's interested in doing these anymore but it would be worth a shot - he knows how to install these old windshields.
The other thing that comes to mind is: Call Art (the Buick guy (Art's Antiques)) and see who he is using for glass these days.
If you had the glass, I'd install it for you...

Don't have the glass yet Chuck. I thought Haggery was going to pay for it but found out today they will only spring to fill in my 2 larger stone hits. Arghhh! Will have to wait a while I guess.
